David is a 23 year old African-American man and the Alpha of The Bonums. His birthday is January 19. His favorite color is red and he has an affinity for anything soft, such as blankets and toys. He is very sullen and serious most of time, only really opening up to his former mentor and Alpha, Malika Hanif, who is now his Beta. He is very patient, but if pestered enough his anger explodes and tends to scare whoever it is directed at and anyone around him. He suffers from severe depression after losing contact with his parents at a very young age, however in recent years after finding his pack, he is recovering.
David's faceclaim is John Boyega
When David hit middle school, he was still a lanky, small child who was not really exposed to hardships before now. However, with his small physique, quiet demeanor, and unusual interest in fantasy, David started to be bullied in school. Kids where cruel to him, partly due to his interests and partially due to racial discrimination. David couldn't understand why he was being bullied like this, and with puberty beginning to hit, he bottled up his emotions and kept quiet, never voicing his troubles to his parents at home. This effectively pushed his parents further and further away, and eventually their relationship became strained and tense.
This abuse continued on into high school, and with the increased stress due to classes, David's grades dropped and he began to mix with the wrong crowd, smoking marijuana and drinking. During his sophomore year of high school, at age 15, David met Malika Hanif, a young English teacher at his school. In the beginning he had a small crush on her, but it wasn't until he ran into her being robbed in a back alley did he witness what she really was, a werewolf who could hold her own. She had shifted in front of his as a defense mechanism, effectively scaring the muggers away, but biting David in the process, giving him the curse of the wolf. Through these new feelings and sensations, Malika helped him through it all, and in his eyes she transformed from a crush to a second mother, effectively becoming his Alpha.
This however, did not stop David from smoking and drinking, something Malika continuously told him to stop doing. There came a day when David was 17 that he was busted smoking marijuana and was arrested. Instead of his parents, David called upon Malika for help, who refused to comply and called his parents, who were enraged to find their son in jail for drugs. They picked him up, but at home they got into a heated verbal fight that lasted for hours, and in the end, David's father kicked his son out of the house. With nowhere else to go, David went to Malika, who accepted him into her home. The next day, David got angry with Malika for involving his parents, only getting angrier when Malika stayed patient and answered with calm words. David ended the argument but harbored the anger for many years.
